Student Attendance

  1. All students are late after 8:15 a.m. and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Students will check into school at the front entrance where they will be searched and cell phones turned in. 
  2. If a student arrives without a parent or after 8:30 a.m., the student must report to the Tardy Room in the cafeteria. The Tardy Room staff will generate a list and escort all students to his/her first block by 9:15a.m. 
  3. At no time should a student remain in another teacher’s class unless prior arrangements are made.
  4. If a student is not in the classroom when the tardy bell sounds, they should secure an admit from the grade appropriate office. 
  5. If the student leaves the room once they have already arrived (even if the bell has not sounded) and do not return before the bell sounds, they are tardy and must have a pass from the Student Support Center to enter class.
  6. The bell DOES NOT dismiss the class.   The teacher will dismiss the class when students are finished.   Please do not start packing up early.  When the teacher is ready and students are ready, the teacher will dismiss student.  With student cooperation, there is no reason for anyone to ever be late to a following class.
