Suspected Child Abuse

All faculty and staff will complete an automated child abuse module as required by Shelby County Schools.  If you suspect that any student has been physically abused, you are required to report the suspected abuse as required by the updated guidelines. 
 
According to the guidelines, teachers should not:

  1. Question the student
  2. Discuss the suspected abuse with co-workers
  3. Contact the parent 
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ARE TEACHERS TO REPORT THE SUSPECTED ABUSE TO THE PARENTS
Please notify the principal immediately for all suspected cases of abuse.
